Agenda4ol Palm Installation Before you Install This application required AppForge booster for visual basic to
run. AppForge booster allows you to run visual basic programs written using the popular AppForge development platform. If you do not already have AppForge booster, you can get it FREE from at http://www.appforge.com/booster.html .Please download the Booster version 3.1 for Palm OS.The AppForge Booster you download from will have an installation program that will install the Booster on to your Palm
Device. Steps to Install Agenda4ol Step 1 – Unzip the Files
Unzip the downloaded file using Winzip. If you are able to read this file then you have probably already unzipped the file. You should
see the following files in this directory
Step 2 – Run the Installer
- Run the Agenda4ol.exe. It will copy the necessary files for Palm desktop directory to install Agenda4ol in your next hotsync.
- Put the palm device on hotsync cradle and click on the hotsync icon on palm device (If the palm device is on the cradle, hotsync may automatically start).
- Now the program will be automatically synced to your palm device and you will see agenda4ol installation activity on your device. Then the Agenda4ol ICON will appear on your palm device.
- Skip step 3 if this step is successful.
Step 3 – Install using Palm desktop Install tool Note:
Follow this step if you experience problem in installation using step 2 otherwise, skip this step, as the installation is already complete in Step 2
- From Windows start menu, programs, Palm Desktop group, select "Install tool" (you can also load Palm Desktop and select "Install" option from the Palm Desktop "View" menu)
Using "Add" button in the install screen, add Agenda4ol-install.prc and addrsearch.prc files. You should then see these 2 files listed in the Install screen.
Click done button in the install screen. Now the agenda4ol program is ready to be synced to your palm device.
Put the palm device on hotsync cradle and click on the hotsync icon on palm device (If the palm device is on the cradle, hotsync may automatically start.
Now the program will be automatically synced to your palm device and you will see agenda4ol installation activity on your device. Then the Agenda4ol ICON will appear on your palm device.
Step 4 – Optional step The package comes with several
event list files that you can import to Agenda4ol on your palm. This will make it easy for you to import public holidays observed in many countries without entering them yourself. The event lists files supplied with
Agenda4ol are copied to "C:\Program Files\Softtrends Software Pvt. Ltd.\Agenda4ol" directory on your disk. Please note that if you were unsuccessful in Step 2, these files many not have been copied to the
directory stated above. You will need to unzip the events.zip file to get these text files.
- Open your Palm Desktop program, click on "Memo" ICON
- From File menu, select Import option.
- Now select txt files from file type and then click on the event list file you want to download to the Palm OS device
- Click open button, the file will be copied to Memo and appear on the screen list
- On next Hotsync,these files will be downloaded to the Palm device
You can download additional event lists by visiting http://www.softtrends.com.
Download the files to the directory where other event lists are present and then following the steps as described above. You can also see the format of the event list files and create your own event lists. Agenda4ol will import events from event lists that are in same format as Agenda4ol text files and created by you using a text editor.
